Gene Krebs
Co-Chair, Better Choices for Ohio
Gene Krebs has been very active in bringing election reform to Ohio over the past several years. Prior to that he spent eight years in the Ohio House of Representatives as a Republican and member of the Cave Man Caucus, the most conservative wing of the conservative party. He coauthored Bridges Across Every Divide, and the 5th edition of Bridges Out of Poverty from aha! Process.
He has been an executive in two Ohio-based think tanks. The first one dealt with economic development, urban revitalization, farmland preservation and the second one dealt with health care and human service issues. He served as the Chair of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel Governing Board which acts as a watchdog on utility overreach, and in that role saved Ohioans billions of dollars in utility costs.
He has a fencing tournament named for him and was a seventh-generation farmer where he was a pioneer in no till methodology, and still lives on the family farm.
