Katherine M. Robiadek

Katherine M. Robiadek is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Core Faculty in the Honors Program in Philosophy, Politics, and the Public at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She held previous positions in the Core Curriculum at Boston University and as Director of Hood College’s Martha E. Church Center for Civic and Community Engagement.
Katherine’s research primarily focuses on democracy in the history of political thought, in institutional governance, and in student leadership development, along with a current project on academic freedom. Her work on democracy is published in journals including Democracy and Security, Political Theory, and the Journal of Higher Education Outreach & Engagement. She was recently invited to serve her first term on the American Political Science Association’s Civic Education Committee.
